Au Pair is a French word meaning "on par". We thrive in making your life easier. Feel calm about leaving your child with an experienced Au Pair knowing that they have the experience and certifications needed. Get in touch with us to learn more and find the perfect match for your family. All Au Pairs are interviewed twice, first round online and then interview face to face. All our Au Pairs' ID numbers are verified, and vetted, references and social media are thoroughly checked. If you require any other checks we can do them for you. We recommend that all Au Pairs do our Au Pair Course. We want to protect your family and our au pairs.

Our Guarantee Period

If you are unhappy with the candidate or she resigns. We will find you another Au Pair, you will have an opportunity to interview prospective Au Pairs. You will not be required to pay any fees. This offer is only available for 3 months.

Our Interview Process

• Two interviews per candidate

• Previous childcare references are checked and verified
• ID verification & validation
• Matric validation
• Tertiary validation (if required)

Assisting with Contract

We provide you with a contract between you and the Au Pair. You are able to amend the contract to fit your needs and requirements.

Our Fee Structure:

R400 once-off registration fee.
R1300 Placement fee (payable after successful placement).

The Process

Step 1: Fill in our detailed online application form. Once we have reviewed your application form, a member of the Active Kids Team will contact you and work with you to find you the BEST Au Pair.
Step 2: Pay the registration fee of R350 Kindly take note that the registration fee is due up-front, and the placement fee is only payable after the placement has been made. Both fees are once-off.

Interview Process

We will send you Au Pair profiles that match your needs and requirements. You can then decide which Au Pairs you want to interview. We arrange an interview at a suitable time for both parties.

If we need to search for an Au Pair this process will take longer.

Hiring the Au Pair

Step 1: Inform Us! If you have found your perfect match, you inform us, and we help you with a contract between you and the Au Pair that you can amend accordingly, we strongly suggest having a contract in place. You sign a contract directly with the Au Pair.
